“Factor π” shows furniture designs. Sketches, dimensional and technical drawings, models – on different scales -, dummies and prototypes. Shapes that emerge and grow into chairs or bar stools. A guideline in the design process is to arrive at usable furniture; however, it is not used as a restriction.
“Factor π” is divided according to the Greek alphabet where each letter represents the designs that arose from the same source of inspiration.
Until further notice”Factor π” can only be viewed. ‘Looking’ is allowed!
“Factor π” is a ‘silent’ project. It will be presented to the outside world on the STOELshop website and Instagram, in the run-up to the presentation of the series ‘LAMBDA’, at the end of 2024. ‘Silent’ refers to the fact that there is sparse correspondence about it (email, telephone, …, who knows: handwritten letters). Until the launch of the series ‘LAMBDA’, “Factor π” remains mainly a ‘looking’ project.
The aim is to make “Factor π” a sincere project that respects the many disciplines and people who come into contact with the furniture sector: the customer, the manufacturer, the carpenter, the blacksmith, the upholsterer, the designer to the retailer.
